About This Site What is the purpose of this website? This website is designed to share what we learned through the Penn State AAC Mentor Project. The site is intended to provide a resource for others who hope to develop mentor programs, especially for those who have disabilities. This site is not intended to provide an exhaustive discussion of all aspects of mentoring, or to be a complete report of all of the findings of the Penn State AAC Mentor Project. Although we have tried to present our experiences with this program in a general way, others may encounter additional or different considerations given the many diverse goals of mentoring programs, the different groups of participants who may benefit from mentoring, and the different ways of establishing and maintaining mentoring relationships. |
