Mentor Leadership Training Course

You chose:

answer a "Barb, if you are going to make it through high school and get a good education, you are going to have to work harder."

This is NOT the correct answer.

Here the mentor does not remember to use the DO IT! strategy.

In this example, the mentor:

  • criticizes Barb
  • does not ask questions to help Barb describe her problem and describe why it is a problem
  • reacts quickly and suggests one solution without considering other options
  • does not allow Barb to outline potential solutions herself, identify the outcomes of each plan, and decide which one is best
