Mentor Leadership Training Course

You chose:

answer a "If you’re patient, one day you’ll meet someone great who wants to be your friend. Just be patient and don’t worry about it."

This is NOT the correct answer.

Here the mentor does not remember to use the DO IT! strategy to help Anne find a way to solve this problem.

In this example, the mentor:

  • does not take Anne’s problem seriously
  • does not ask questions to help Anne describe the specific problem and identify why it is a problem
  • does not help Anne outline different ways to start to solve the problem
  • does not help Anne identify the consequences of different solutions to the problem and decide which is the best plan to follow.
